Kaspersky CEO: World isn’t ready for cryptocurrencies yet

Multinational cybersecurity and antivirus provider Kaspersky’s CEO and Billionaire, Eugene Kaspersky stated that while cryptocurrency is a brilliant innovation, the world is not ready for cryptocurrency just yet.

During an official statement on the financial news website Arabian Business, the CEO of the cybersecurity giant Kaspersky Lab, in favor of the cryptocurrency said, it will eventually overtake fiat money in the future.

Kaspersky further elaborated by stating,

“In the future — perhaps in 100 years’ time — all the world’s governments will be one government. States will unite under the (Government of the Earth). And only then we will have one currency. Some other currencies may be available, but on a global scale, the currency will be unified.”

The entrepreneur strongly pointed out the unification of the world for the encrypted currencies else the government would want to control them.

Similarly, he also argued on the fact that digital currencies, such as bitcoin cannot replace the currently running financial system.

This is not his first statement regarding cryptocurrency. Back in 2015, he expressed a similar view in crypto in the past whereby he praised cryptocurrencies as a remarkable innovation.

He also warned that the government would like to ban cryptocurrency as they are an existential threat to governments and central banks

He further stated,

“I am beyond certain that different countries will try to forbid the use of cryptocurrencies because they are beyond their control. Authorities will not pay attention, as long as [cryptocurrencies] do not pose a threat. When they start supplanting national currencies, they will be banned immediately.”

Though it is extremely hard for digital currency to drive the currency economy, with a statement from a notable person like such, it might make general people actually believe his claim.
