EVEN IF WE WANTED TO, WE COULDN’T BAN BITCOIN - US SENATOR

U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) admitted that it would be difficult or impossible to ban bitcoin in the United States. At hearing on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology regulation held by U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, Senator offered a number of positive comments on bitcoin.

“It seems to me that digital technology innovations are inevitable, could be beneficial, and I believe that the U.S. should lead in developing these innovations and what the rules of the road should be.”

For those who have been longtime critics of Bitcoin usually have one key theory in common, which is that governments will eventually ban Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will then cease to exist in any meaningful form, it appears that lawmakers in the United States are starting to realize the difficulties associated with a potential Bitcoin ban.
